This is light weekend post of tom tomming about myself. Nothing else! Just that I noticed Google has given this blog a Page Rank (PR) of 5. Sounds good. So I feel like boasting a bit, dance a little - that's what I'm doing (We'll continue to discuss Public Relations again from Monday)
Since I started this blog on April 24, 2006 and wrote a 6-line post called - PR agencies need people, I have doing some home-made SEO stuff, and now when I have almost given up in frustration, I suddenly saw the page rank and I said wow!
So is this going to boost my search engine ranking? I haven't seen any change so far. For sure, this blog has become a MSN favourite and comes on top when somebody search the keywords -Public Relations India- in MSN. For Yahoo and Goggle, I suppose somewhere something has gone wrong. I have no idea. Maybe now it will change.
But do I really need it? Google Analytics tell me 33.58% of the viewers come directly to this blog typing the url straight into their browsers, 18.43% come from Indianpad, 7.66% come from Marktd, and 12.77% come from Google search. Maybe yes.
Some of the Google searches where this blog comes out in the top 10 are keywords like - india pr blog, india pr events, financial dailies india, pravin mahajan, what does PR mean, indiatv news, global satellite, genesispr india, delhi mcd, prcai, overdrive india, good relations india, public relations council of india, percept india, etc.
Some more stats about this site, as on today right now -
- Highest number of visits in a day- 327
- Number of visits since 12 Jun 2006 - 7,272
- Average visit length - 5.17 minutes
- Percentage of new visitors- 65.33% and percentage of returning visitors- 34.67%
- Major Indian vistors are from Delhi, Maharashtra, TN, AP, Karnataka, WB, Haryana, and Assam
- Major global visitors are from US, Mexico, UK, France, Canada, Ireland, Turkey, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Philippines, Japan, and Australia. Surprisingly sitemeter didn't record any visits from Africa while clustrmaps shows some 7-8 dots.
